A touchscreen is far more intuitive and natural for the user. Touchscreens are durable and cannot be stolen when used in public areas. Touchscreens are easy to clean and can handle beverages being spilled on them, unlike keyboards or trackballs.

2. Do I have to modify my software for touchscreen input?
It is unlikely that you would have to modify your software. Our touchscreens come with mouse emulator drivers that work with most standard platforms, such as DOS, Win9x, Windows NT/2000 and Windows XP. 3. What display would a touchscreen fit?
Touchscreens come in a variety of sizes. We have standard sizes, which includes 10.4" up to 47" LCD-TFT Monitors. If you are looking to use a display that we have never retrofitted or applied our touchscreen to, we would simply qualify it through a quality testing process to ensure the ultimate performance. Most monitors and flat panel displays can utilize a touchscreen.

4. Would a touchscreen plug into my USB port?
A touchscreen controller normally uses a USB port, however MicroTouch also offers a serial port. We also have chipsets for qualified OEM use.
